Recurrent education, in which students repeat learning throughout their lives, is an indispensable mechanism for extending healthy life expectancy and addressing the multi-stage society. As a university that serves the global public, the University of Tokyo aims to produce human resources to solve social issues. In our recurrent education programs, we return to society the comprehensive and specialized knowledge that has been accumulated since the founding of our university. We also wish to interact with participants across generations and sectors and learn about the social issues through our recurrent education programs. Continuously updating our knowledge and thinking through recurrent education is not only a great way to enrich society, but also a great way to enrich one’s life as a human being. We encourage you to take the various courses introduced on this website, including courses to enhance your abilities in your field of specialization, liberal arts courses to broaden your education, and certificate programs for working adults.

Atsushi TSUDA, Executive Vice President, The University of Tokyo
